These Terms of Service govern your use of BuiltMode, operated by Norman Cade, based in Virginia, United States. In these Terms, “BuiltMode,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Norman Cade as the operator of the service.
Please read these Terms before creating an account. By accepting these Terms, you agree to follow them. If you do not agree, do not use BuiltMode.
1. The Service
BuiltMode is a free service that allows users to record workouts, upload workout pictures, track body measurements, and follow other users with their approval.
BuiltMode does not provide workout recommendations or training plans.
Features may change over time. We will provide notice of material changes where required by law.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
You must provide accurate account information and keep your login credentials secure. Do not impersonate someone else, use another person’s account without permission, or allow others to use your account unlawfully.
Contact support@getbuiltmode.com if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
3. Privacy and Content Visibility
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
Other users must receive your approval before following you. Your name, username, profile picture, workout logs, and workout pictures are visible to your approved followers when they are signed in. This information is not publicly visible.
Your email address, body measurements, and the list of users you follow are not shared with other users.
People who can view your content may save screenshots or other copies. Consider what you upload and avoid including information you do not want your approved followers to see. Deleting your account cannot remove copies that other people have independently saved.
4. Your Content
You retain ownership of the workout logs, pictures, and other content you submit.
You grant BuiltMode a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, technically format, and display your content solely as needed to operate the service and provide the features you use. This includes displaying eligible content to your approved followers and processing content through our infrastructure providers.
This license does not authorize us to sell your content, use it in advertisements, or train AI models with it.
The license ends when your content is deleted from our systems, except to the limited extent needed during the deletion and backup-retention processes described in our Privacy Policy.
You must have the rights and permissions needed to upload your content, including appropriate permission for pictures depicting other people.
5. Acceptable Use
You must not:
- Upload unlawful, infringing, threatening, harassing, or exploitative content.
- Share another person’s private information without authorization.
- Upload sexual content involving minors.
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity.
- Access accounts or information you are not authorized to access.
- Bypass security controls, distribute malicious software, or disrupt the service.
- Collect other users’ information through unauthorized scraping or automation.
- Use BuiltMode for fraud, spam, or other unlawful activity.
To report content or conduct that violates these Terms, including suspected copyright infringement, contact support@getbuiltmode.com. Include enough information for us to identify the content or conduct and understand your concern.
We may review reports and remove content or restrict accounts when reasonably necessary to address violations, protect users, or comply with law.
6. Fitness and Health Information
BuiltMode records fitness information you provide. It does not provide workout recommendations, training plans, medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Workout information shared by other users may be inaccurate or unsuitable for you. Another user’s workout is not a recommendation that you perform it.
Exercise involves risks, including injury. Consider your abilities and health, and seek advice from an appropriately qualified professional when needed.
BuiltMode does not guarantee any fitness, performance, weight, or health outcome.
Nothing in these Terms excludes responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded.
7. Fees
BuiltMode is currently completely free. There are no subscriptions, paid downloads, or in-app purchases.
If we introduce paid features in the future, we will disclose their pricing and applicable terms before you choose to purchase them. Using the current free service does not authorize any future charge.
8. BuiltMode’s Intellectual Property
Except for user content and third-party materials, rights in BuiltMode’s software, branding, and original materials belong to Norman Cade or the applicable licensors.
Subject to these Terms, you may use BuiltMode for your personal use. You may not copy, sell, redistribute, or misuse the service or its protected materials except with permission or as permitted by applicable law.
9. Account Deletion, Suspension, and Termination
You may stop using BuiltMode at any time. To delete your account, open Settings and select Delete Account. Data deletion and any remaining retention are explained in our Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate access for material or repeated violations of these Terms, security threats, unlawful activity, or where required by law.
Where reasonably practicable and legally permitted, we will explain the action and provide an opportunity to contact us about it. Immediate action may be necessary to protect users or the service.

10. Availability and Responsibility
We aim to provide a functioning service, but BuiltMode may experience interruptions, errors, or maintenance. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that every error will be corrected.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties beyond those expressly stated in these Terms.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service.
These provisions do not exclude or limit liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that applicable law does not allow us to exclude or limit. Your mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
11. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Subject to mandatory consumer rights and applicable jurisdictional requirements, disputes arising from these Terms or your use of BuiltMode will be brought in the appropriate state or federal courts located in Virginia.
If you have a concern, you may contact support@getbuiltmode.com so we can try to resolve it. Contacting us first is not required before pursuing legal remedies and does not extend any legal deadline.
Nothing in these Terms deprives consumers of mandatory protections under the laws of their place of residence or the right to bring a claim in another court where applicable law provides that right.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to BuiltMode or applicable legal requirements.
We will update the effective date and provide reasonable advance notice of material changes, unless more immediate changes are necessary for legal or security reasons. We will obtain renewed agreement where required by law.
If you do not agree to updated Terms, you may stop using BuiltMode and delete your account.
13. General Terms
If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain effective to the extent permitted by law.
A failure to enforce a provision immediately does not waive our right to enforce it later.
Provisions that by their nature should continue after account closure—including applicable ownership, liability, and dispute provisions—will continue to apply.
