BuiltMode is operated by Norman Cade in the United States. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share personal information when you use BuiltMode, and how you can exercise your privacy rights.

1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
We collect information you provide when creating an account and using BuiltMode, including:
- Account information: Your name, email address, and username.
- Optional profile information: Your profile picture, height, and weight.
- Workout information: Workout logs and workout pictures you upload.
- Body measurements: Measurements you enter into the app.
- Following information: Which users you follow and which users follow you.
- Communications: Information you provide when contacting us for support or submitting a privacy request.
Information processed automatically
BuiltMode processes your timezone to support time-related app functionality.
BuiltMode uses Google Firebase services, which may also process technical information, including IP addresses, authentication-related device or browser information, and service logs, to operate and secure the app.
Apple Health
BuiltMode does not currently access Apple Health data. If we introduce an Apple Health integration, we will update this policy and request the necessary permissions before accessing that information.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use personal information to:
- Create and manage your account.
- Store and display your profile, workout logs, pictures, and body measurements.
- Provide following functionality and display eligible content to your followers.
- Support time-related app functionality.
- Respond to support inquiries and privacy requests.
- Operate, maintain, and secure BuiltMode.
- Comply with applicable legal obligations.
BuiltMode does not display advertisements, use advertising tracking, sell personal information, share personal information for targeted advertising, or use your personal information to train AI models.
3. Visibility to Other Users
Your name, username, profile picture, workout logs, and workout pictures are visible only to other signed-in BuiltMode users who follow you. This information is not publicly visible.
Your email address, body measurements, and the list of users you follow are not shared with other users.
Users who can view your content may save screenshots or other copies. Account deletion cannot remove copies that other people have independently saved.
BuiltMode does not currently offer comments.
4. How We Share Information
Google Firebase
BuiltMode uses the following Google Firebase services:
- Firebase Authentication for account authentication.
- Cloud Firestore for database storage.
- Cloud Storage for Firebase for uploaded files.
- Cloud Functions for Firebase for backend functionality.
Google processes personal information in connection with providing these services. More information is available in Firebase’s Privacy and Security documentation.
Other BuiltMode users
We share eligible profile and workout information with your followers as described in Section 3.
Legal requirements
We may disclose information when required by applicable law or valid legal process.
Apart from the disclosures described in this policy, we do not routinely share your personal information with other parties.
5. Data Retention and Account Deletion
We retain your account information, workout logs, pictures, body measurements, timezone, and following information while your account remains open, unless earlier deletion is required by applicable law.
You can delete your account by opening Settings and selecting Delete Account. This initiates deletion of your Firebase Authentication account and associated BuiltMode data from our active databases and file storage.
Deletion from active systems does not necessarily mean every backup copy or technical record is immediately erased. Google Firebase applies service-specific retention and deletion schedules. Firebase Authentication states that logged IP addresses are retained for a few weeks and other authentication information is removed from live and backup systems within 180 days after deletion is initiated. This period does not apply uniformly to all BuiltMode data.

6. Your Choices and Privacy Rights
Providing a profile picture, height, and weight is optional.
You can delete your account through the app. To request an export of your account information, email support@getbuiltmode.com.
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may also have rights to:
- Access your personal information.
- Request correction of inaccurate information.
- Request deletion of information.
- Receive a portable copy of information.
- Restrict or object to certain processing.
- Withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.
These rights may apply even where a corresponding control is not available within the app. To submit a request, contact support@getbuiltmode.com.
We may request information reasonably necessary to verify your identity before responding. We will handle requests within the time required by applicable law.
Where applicable, you may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
7. International Processing
BuiltMode is operated from the United States and uses Google Firebase infrastructure. Personal information may be processed in the United States and other countries where the applicable service providers operate.
8. Additional Information for Users in the European Economic Area and United Kingdom

Norman Cade is the controller responsible for BuiltMode’s processing of your personal information.

Legal bases for processing
Where workout information or body measurements qualify as protected health data, processing requires an additional legal condition.
Withdrawal of consent
Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time by contacting support@getbuiltmode.com. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
Your other privacy rights are described in Section 6.
9. Security
BuiltMode uses Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore security rules to control access to accounts and database information.
No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as BuiltMode’s features or information practices change.
When we update the policy, we will revise the effective date above. We will provide additional notice or request consent where required by applicable law.
